For more than 80 years, our co-op has provided a creative, loving and relaxed environment that celebrates the heart and imagination of every child. Established in 1941, Linda Beach Cooperative Preschool is a small, play-based, cooperative preschool nestled in the center of Piedmont, California.
Founded on the belief that children learn best in an environment rich with age-appropriate stimuli and caring adults, the school's success is due to the warmth and enthusiasm provided by exceptional teachers working directly with parents eager to share in the development and education of their children. To attend the open house, please sign up by emailing Beenish Kahn at membership@lindabeach.org.

Our Philosophy
Report
One of the greatest benefits of a cooperative preschool is that it allows you to be directly involved with your child's early education. Participating in your child's education is not only rewarding but also provides a sense of fellowship and community between the families of Linda Beach. Linda Beach offers a traditional preschool approach, which emphasizes the development of each child through independent and group play activities.

Our Preschool
Report
At Linda Beach Preschool, we encourage play and individual expression within a gently structured day. The daily schedule helps children become used to changing activities as a group, and allows them to slowly learn to concentrate for longer periods of time.
Preschoolers develop increased self-awareness as they transition from parallel play to building friendships with their peers, and leave Linda Beach comfortable with the behavioral expectations of the classroom setting. We require children to be fully potty trained for either class and we do not allow pull-ups.
