Children's Eye Care
Report
Every parent knows kids don't come with a how-to guide. We figure it out as we go along. But when it's about their eyesight, we want to know our kids are healthy and developing their vision skills at each age and stage of development. Our children's eye care guide can help answer questions and give you a few handy tips to make caring for your kids' eye health for their first five years as easy as can be.
Scleral Lenses
Report
A scleral lens, also known as an ocular surface prosthesis is a large contact lens that rests on the sclera and creates a tear-filled vault over the cornea. Scleral lenses are designed to treat a variety of eye conditions, many of which do not respond to other forms of treatment. As the shape of scleral lenses creates a bridge over the eye, it leaves a gap that fills with tears.
Pediatric Eye Exam
Report
Children with uncorrected vision conditions or eye health problems face many barriers in life, academically, socially and athletically. High-quality eye care can break down these barriers and help enable your children to reach their highest potential. Vision doesn't just happen. A child's brain learns how to use eyes to see, just like it learns how to use legs to walk or a mouth to form words.
Specialty Contact Lens Fit
Report
If you have (or suspect you have) any of these conditions and you want to wear contacts, visit an eye care professional who specializes in contact lenses and welcomes hard-to-fit patients. Contact lens specialists usually are more aware of the latest contact lens technology and options than a general eye doctor.
