We believe there's more to driving than passing a state exam. Learning to drive centers on safe driving habits, awareness of fellow drivers, and the confidence needed to securely navigate any situation. By combining lively classroom instruction with behind-the-wheel sessions, Drive! Driving School teaches students to remain calm and responsible on the road at all times.
Classes

Driving School offers both classroom and behind-the-wheel training, and students can sign up for either type of instruction or both. For both types of instruction see classes listed below. If your child is 15/16/17 when starting a driver's education class, please expect a minimum of 6 weeks before they drive behind-the-wheel.
Classes For Teens

North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles requires that students age 14 up to 18 years old complete 30 hours of classroom training behind-the-wheel training before they can obtain a driving license. Our program offers both types of training, and you can sign up for one option of both.
We also believe that parents play a vital role in teen driver's education, so once a student obtains a NC Learner's Permit, we encourage parents to allow their teens to drive as often as possible.Throughout our sessions, we strive to keep classroom instruction fun and interesting to capture each student's attention.

Classes For Adults

You're never too old to learn to drive. We work with adults of all ages and specialize in first-time and nervous drivers. Our philosophy integrates traditional instruction and behind-the-wheel sessions with calming techniques that help students feel assured in all driving situations. Also, while North Carolina does not require adults to complete 30 hours of classroom training, we can offer adult classroom and private instruction if needed.

To avoid excess fees or problems when learning to drive, we recommend you review the following information. Also, note that each student requesting a NC learner's permit or driver's license must pass a vision test performed by the NC DMV & have a Restricted Permit signed off by the DMV. Students may bring a snack and beverage to class.
