Our Twelve Step program Recovery Guides are alcoholics and addicts with quality sobriety. Our Recovery Guides have themselves experienced the nightmare of addiction and the miracle of recovery. Thanks to their own personal histories, these uniquely qualified men have the ability to share their experience, strength, and hope with our guests in an intensely personal, highly effective manner.

The small size (24 beds) of our 30-day residential recovery program ensures you or your loved one will receive the personal direction, compassion, fellowship and care necessary for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

Building on the principles of recovery, community and service established in our 30-day residential recovery program, our long-term addiction recovery program seeks to help men strengthen their foundation in sobriety from all forms of addiction from drugs and alcohol abuse to gambling.
The Long-Term Recovery Center (A Discovery Place facility) uses a long-term "live in" recovery model that cultivates the skills you or your loved one needs for successful transition from substance addiction treatment to sustained sobriety in the "real world."Our 60 day and 90 day long-term residential recovery programs constitute a proactive approach in fostering a successful transition into a life of recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.

Stepdown Residential Addiction Recovery Program

This is where the rubber meets the road. Following our 30-Day Residential Program and our 30- or 60-day Long-Term Recovery Program (LTR), our guests can receive another one to nine months of guided recovery in our stepdown residential addiction recovery program.
In this final phase of Discovery Place's proven three-phase long-term addiction recovery plan, guests practice living a sober life in the "real world" while still in the safety of our ongoing structure and support.Our most recent survey of guests found that 83.3% of reporting alumni who have participated in all three phases of the Discovery Place program have maintained one year of continuous sobriety.

Discovery Place's Continuing Care & Aftercare Programs for substance abuse provide ongoing support, direction, and encouragement for our alumni in their first year of recovery. Prior to commencement from our 30-day residential recovery program, staff works with guests to formulate a detailed plan of action for sustained sobriety.
