Our family has been farming the Yakima Valley for four generations and the bond we hold with this place, our place, continues to grow stronger. The crops we grow may have changed and we no longer have to worry about hitching up the plow horse, but this land has provided for generations. Giving back to the land is something we learned from a very young age.
We have taken that way of life one step further by becoming the first Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing certified vineyard in Washington State, so future generations can continue to prosper in this place. What was once Schmidt Orchards, planted by our grandfather, Phil Schmidt in 1951, became Copeland Vineyard that we planted with our uncle, Ron Schmidt, in 2000.

It's red wine season, and we are here for it. This trio of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and the yet-to-be-released Syrah will be there for you, whatever the occasion. When you join our monthly Red Wine Subscription, you can skip the trip to the store (and the judgmental looks when you check out with just a basket of wine) and leave it to us to keep your glass full.

We're thrilled to announce our recent sustainability certification, learn more about our commitment to sustainable practices. Farming is not what we do. It is who we are. Four generations of Yakima Valley farming later and this place becomes part of who we are. Today we operate 300 acres of vineyards and 100% of our wines come from our estate acreage.
