Dr. Schwarzburg embarked on the career in medicine at the University of Texas, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology with Magna Cum Laude distinction. He then earned a Medical Doctor degree at the University of Texas Medical School.
While there, Dr. Schwarzburg spent an additional year of research at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center working on groundbreaking cancer treatments with some of the most world renowned physicians.He joined General Surgery internship program at the North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NSLIJ).
