Hi, my name is Cynthia Duran, owner and day care provider at Berkys Day Care 2 in Islip Terrace. I have years of experience working with children of all ages and needs. I am a mother of three children ages 8, 7 and 4. The name Berkys is my mother's name and since she is also a day care provider I decided to honor her by naming my day care after hers.
After all, a mother is your first teacher and protector therefore I felt the name of my day care should reflect just that. Our number one priority is to provide the best possible care in a loving, nurturing and safe environment for every child at our facility.

Our priority is to ensure that high quality care is accessible to all children in our care by providing a healthy, clean, safe, fun and learning environment. Through nurturing and individualized care, we will assist your child in his/her developmental growth and encourage learning through action, inquiry and exploration.
Curriculum

At Berkys Day Care 2 in Islip Terrace we take pride in our curriculum that combines learning and fun. We develop and prepare age-appropriate activities for each child. Subjects that will be reflected in daily schedule are as follows: "Circle time", arts & crafts, music, kid friendly technology, story time, math, spelling/handwriting, playtime, homework, educational projects, exercise, outdoor/indoor play and much more.
