I'm Richard Jucker - the creator and owner of The Village Bakery. As a native Houstonian, I have spent almost my entire adult life either in the bakery business, or in food services. And although my father was one of the original owners of Three Brothers Bakery, and I had worked there from 1981 to 1999, it wasn't until May of 2013 that I had the opportunity to open my own bakery.

I spent years perfecting my craft of baking, as well as custom cake design - from sculptures, hand painted portrait cakes, as well wedding cakes.

The Village Bakery Houston's breads are handmade according to the time-tested standards that have been used for generations. You will taste the quality and heritage in all our loaves. We prepare whole wheat, sourdoughs, baguettes and other traditional breads daily, as well as a different artisan bread each day of the week.

Each of the treats prepared by our staff starts with the freshest infredients and the highest quality flours. Our delectable daily selections are sure to satisfy your craving. We carry a wide range of breakfast items such as muffins, Danishes, scones and croissants, as well as tasty treats that go great with coffee or tea, such as biscotti, eclairs and tartlets.

Pie - Just the word can bring up fond memories of eatng a slice of your favorite from when you were a kid, or just a few days ago. At The Village Bakery, we take pie making, like all of our other products, very seriously. Our Apple pies are made only with fresh Granny Smith apples - never canned or frozen.
