Hip Hop Classes

Our Hip Hop program teaches students the latest street dance techniques including complex footwork, body isolations, and freestyle expression. Instructors focus on building rhythm, coordination, and performance confidence while maintaining proper form. Classes incorporate current music trends and choreography that challenges students to develop their unique style while improving cardiovascular fitness and muscle control.

Ballet Training

Ballet classes emphasize proper technique, body alignment, and graceful movement patterns. Students learn traditional ballet vocabulary from basic positions to advanced combinations requiring balance and precision. Our curriculum follows progressive levels that develop strength, flexibility, and artistic expression while maintaining the discipline and structure inherent in classical ballet training.

Musical Theatre

This program integrates dance, acting, and vocal training to develop well-rounded performers. Students learn theatrical movement techniques, character development, and stage presence while working on musical numbers from popular Broadway productions. Classes focus on storytelling through performance and developing the versatility needed for professional theatre opportunities.

Tumbling & Acro

Our tumbling program teaches fundamental and advanced acrobatic skills including cartwheels, handsprings, and aerials. Certified instructors emphasize proper technique and safety while building strength, flexibility, and spatial awareness. Classes progress through skill levels to develop controlled, dynamic movement patterns that complement dance training and performance capabilities.

Vocal Development

Vocal training focuses on breath control, pitch accuracy, and proper vocal technique. Students work on expanding their vocal range, improving tone quality, and developing performance skills through song interpretation and harmony singing. The curriculum includes vocal exercises that promote healthy singing habits and technical mastery across multiple musical styles.

Jen co-founded Auburn Dance Academy with a vision to create a nurturing environment for young artists. With decades of experience in performing arts education, she oversees curriculum development and studio operations while maintaining a hands-on role in teaching and student mentorship.

Peter brings extensive dance industry expertise to Auburn Dance Academy as co-owner and instructor. He focuses on technical training programs and performance preparation, working directly with advanced students while ensuring the studio maintains its high standards of artistic excellence.

The staff is nice, however, if you want your child to learn ballet seriously this is not the place. The classes lasted 1 hour. At the beginning of class, they would talk for about 20 mins, ballet for like 15 mins, tap 15, and then talk again for 10 more minutes. When I finally asked what they talked about, she said they were playing games unrelated to the class. The instructor is nice, but this to me was a waste of time and money.

Highly recommend ADA! We came to try out dance and my daughter fell in love and now we attend all classes and complete with ADA. If you are looking for a family from your studio then you don't need to look any further. If you want your child to excel and grow this is the place. The teachers and owners go above and beyond for all of the kids here. Can't imagine being with any other studio

ADA is where your dancer should be. Tiny tots to teenagers, they have the best teachers and choreography in this area. I wouldn't take my daughter anywhere else. She loves her dance family and cries if she has to miss a class.

Best studio around!!! Amazing staff and owners. This place is very welcoming and makes you feel like family. My daughter has learned and grown so much in the past 3 years on the competition team. We will continue for many years to come!

I attended the Home Alone and Elf productions last night. What a marvelous show!!! The tiny dancers were endearing, and the quality and skill of the older dancers was fantastic! I had so much fun. Thank you to all the talented and hard working people who had a hand in putting on this adventurous production.

My daughter absolutely loves this dance studio (as do I). The owners are very friendly and professional and make you feel right at home. And I can't say enough great things about the dance teachers. They are simply amazing. Very positive and encouraging. We were at a different studio for 6 years and weren't fully happy there so we researched, did trial classes and decided to join ADA. Best decision ever. I only wish we would have done it years ago!
