As a healthcare provider and homebirth mother, i wanted to expand local maternity options to include homebirths attended by Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM). While there are multiple CPM practices that offer homebirth services, Loudoun Homebirth & Healthcare is the only Nurse Midwifery practice in Loudoun.
Our approach is a safe, cost effective, and convenient choice for women to experience normal pregnancy and birth, and personalized well-woman care. I'm so excited to be with Loudoun Homebirth & Healthcare. I have been attending births in the community since 2014 as part of a large midwifery practice and have been fortunate to share the joy and power of birth with many families.

The founding of Loudoun Homebirth & Healthcare is a dream come true. We are finally able to offer the personalized level of care that women and their families deserve, and current research supports. Our team of midwives and nurses have been involved in maternal and infant health for over 20 years, and have often been required to work and counsel within a medical system that is unable to provide holistic care or offer "continuity of care."

Loudoun Homebirth & Healthcare supports you and your partner in your decisions to allow birth to unfold on it's own time, in it's own manner. A healthy, low risk woman, experiencing a normal, uncomplicated pregnancy should go on to have a normal, physiological birth. Interventions are wonderful tools when they are needed, and having a provider that applies any intervention judiciously, contributes to the best outcomes for the mother and the baby.

We believe in the ability of a woman's body to birth and a baby's body to transition to earthside life in a natural progression that is empowering to the mother and her partner. We do not judge a woman's preference of how or where she wants to labor and give birth and do not discriminate against any situation which may lead to different birth experience than she was anticipating.

You can also contact us if you or your partner have questions. Please contact us about fees for maternity, gynecological, and family planning services. We will provide a full list of service fees and explain payment options. For homebirths there is a one-time global fee. This single fee covers all prenatal visits, lab collections, your birth, any medications that might be needed during labor, and all of your postpartum visits.
