Teriyaki is a very healthy alternative to fried chicken and is a staple in well-being diets. Using a traditional grilling process, much of the fats and oils of chicken is removed yet the savory taste and flavor is retained. Kyoto is known as food capital of Japan. Kyoto is especially famous for its savory teriyaki sauce.

This was our second choice after stopping at Osaka Japanese Restaurant and having a long wait. We were pleased to meet one of the owners who was from Korea! The portions were large and service quick. The chicken katsu sauce wasn’t as tasty as it was in Korea, but the katsu was fried to perfection.

Subpar food, and a bit on the expensive side.
Ordered the Chicken Katsu, Beef Bulgogi, and Sweet & Sour Soup. The Katsu was a bit burnt, but nice and crisp. The Bulgogi was mediocre. Additionally, I had my rice replaced with fried rice, which I guess means you get white rice with food coloring and 5% of a carrot. Lacking in flavor and substance, don't order the fried rice. The soup was good though.
Service was the best part of the experience. Staff was friendly, and the food arrived quickly. Restaurant was clean.
Prices were a bit on the expensive side. Ordered two waters with our meals, and

Best hot and sour soup in the Arklatex!
Exterior is clean and in good repair.
Interior is clean and mostly in good repair. Bathroom urinal is broken. Paper towel dispenser is broken. Door handle is missing. ("Help! I voided and I can't get out!")
The menus are large and prominently displayed. The teller is friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes.
The K-Pop chicken is excellent and huge! It's boneless fried chicken in a pepper and sweet paste (the owner denied it is gochujang) and peanuts.
The gyoza is very good. They are crunchy on the outside and hot and tasty and

Our teriyaki chicken and shrimp were excellent although the chicken was too done for me, but grilling chicken like this is common in Japanese restaurants, and I enjoyed it just the same. These scrumptious dumplings were included as was rice.
The egg rolls were excellent.
The meals were large enough for dinner plus lunch the next day.
The nice young man who served us is Japanese descent, too, so there you go; an authentic Japanese restaurant.

Huge service portions! Stopped in on our way home to Houston and was not disappointed. Serving was more than enough for 2 adults + 1 child. Items ordered:
- Teriyaki plate w/ rice, salad & miso soup
- Spicy Teriyaki plate w rice, salsa & miso soup
- 2 egg rolls
I imagine this place is family owned- we we're greeted with smiles by a couple as we walked in and place appeared to be new. Place was spotless! Recommend you check out this spot during a lunch break: prompt service !

Nice atmosphere with clean environment. Ordered the miso soup, fried wontons, and rainbow fried rice. Huge portions for entrees! Fried wontons were large and fried to the perfect crispness. They have fountain for sodas, but also a cooler to buy .79 cent cans for a cheaper non water drink option. The food was flavorful, but not amazing. They do have soy, teriyaki, spicy chili, and sweet and sour sauce at each table to adjust the flavor of your dish though. Overall we enjoyed and will probably be back sometime to try other dishes.

Great addition to Texarkana!
We moved here recently and have felt like this place is missing an authentic Asian restaurant-Kyoto has filled that! We've sampled the teriyaki, noodles, egg rolls and fried rice-all incredibly delicious! So happy to have this here. They need some lights on the outside bc you struggle seeing the turn in/sign at night and the drive thru speaker needs some work but they'll get there! Give this a try you won't regret it!
