Car Lockouts
Report
Jennifer B. of New Orleans had set her purse down on the passenger seat to move the baby from car seat to stroller. Her partner, intending to be helpful, closed the locked door without realizing that her keys were inside. Not to worry; she called Pop-A-Lock of New Orleans and got a quote and a time estimate that gave her just enough time to run the errand she'd set out to do.
Car Key Replacement
Report
Duplicating car keys just isn't as straightforward as it used to be. With transponder keys, keyless entry remotes, laser cut keys, and other high security keys, your car is safer from thieves than ever. However, if you lose your key, you can expect to pay a hefty replacement fee at the dealership. If you're locked out, they'll have to tow the car, and then you'll end up paying for the tow on top of all the other charges.
Key-less Entry Remote for Cars
Report
Remote keys, which became widespread in the late 80s and early 90s, allow you to lock or unlock your car doors remotely through a radio chip located in the key fob. You might not have thought twice about your key fob until you lost or broke it and called your dealer to see how much a replacement would cost.
Transponders and Transponder Chips
Report
When Chris L. of New Orleans misplaced his regular car key, he pulled out a spare that he had cut at the hardware store but never tried using. To his surprise, his Honda Accord refused to start when he put the spare in the ignition. As it turns out, his original key was a transponder key with a special chip inside the head that sent a signal to the ignition.
Locked Out
Report
We can't magically find your lost keys for you, but if you're locked out of the house in New Orleans, we can come out to you in as little as fifteen minutes, open your door, and make you a new set of keys. Getting locked out used to mean one of two things: waiting around for your spouse, friend, or neighbor with a spare to find the time to drop by - or, alternately, waiting for a locksmith to show up within a one or two hour arrival window.
