Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers is Connecticut's largest private-practice physical therapy company with 29 locations around the state serving over 20,000 patients every year. President Alan Balavender, a physical therapist himself, purchased and started the first PTSMC clinic in Waterbury in 2000.

Insurance update: Telehealth is now being covered by most insurance plans in Connecticut. This includes Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, ConnectiCare, Medicare, Oxford and United Healthcare.
