Mike Simmons Golf School was founded in 2004 by Mike Simmons, a former British-trained Attorney at Law, who learned golf in his homeland of Barbados under the tutelage of the legendary British Professional, the late John Jacobs who was at the time the visiting professional at Sandy Lane Golf Course.
Mike was a Barbados national soccer player from the age of 17 and as one accustomed to performing at the highest level dedicated himself to mastering the fundamentals of the game. Within a few years his name was regularly at the top of tournament leader boards and was chosen to represent Barbados as an international amateur in the Annual Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships.
