Sherman Sessoms graduated from Spencer Watchmaking School in 1961. From there he went straight to work in Rock Hill, SC working on his bench inside Smith's Drug Store under the name Sessoms Watch Repair. After nearly 40 years, in various locations in Rock Hill, he made the move to a small space inside what was then Fort Mill Jewelers (later Springcrest Jewelers and now Sessoms & Sons Jewelers).
