The Legacy in Faribault, Minnesota is a 6,500-yard, 18-hole Championship facility with a course rating of 71.5 - slope 136. The Legacy project, which includes over 100 uniquely different golf community home sites, was started in the early 1990's. The golf course designed by nationally accredited golf architect Garret Gill opened for play in 1998.
The Legacy is a public course which offers yearly memberships, corporate outings, competitive tournaments, leagues, Jr. golf programs, lesson programs, practice facilities, PGA Professional, pro-shop, golf cart rental, club rental, snack bar and world class service. The golf course as described in the 1998 Minnesota Golfer Magazine has three kinds of holes.

Mary's School is an Episcopal, college preparatory boarding and day school enrolling students in grades 6 through 12 plus a post-graduate program. The School was founded in 1858 and its campuses are included in the National Historic Register.
In 2016-17, the School's 482 students come from 36 states and 26 countries and participate in nine Centers of Excellence: Engineering, BioScience, The Major, Pre-Conservatory Music, Vocal Performance, Soccer, Ice Hockey, Figure Skating, and Golf.

The Legacy golf course is located across the street from Shattuck-St. Mary's School, a boarding/day school that was founded in 1858. The 250-acre historic campus features high and low ropes courses, tennis and pickle ball courts, a running track, and the 12-room Inn at Shattuck-St. Mary's. In partnership with The Inn, the Legacy is pleased to offer special "stay and play" golf packages.
