Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing structures a therapy program to assist the individual to return to their prior level of functioning. The program features physical, occupational and speech therapies delivered by multidisciplinary teams of medical, rehabilitative and nursing specialists.

Van Duyn volunteers are made up of a diverse group of individuals who want to give back in a variety of ways. They are students, adults, church congregations, retirees, service organizations, corporate partners etcetera.
Volunteering at Van Duyn offers these individuals the opportunity to be involved in their community, to learn new skills or to use those that they already have all while getting to know the amazing residents, each of whom has a story to tell.Primarily, volunteers provide transport assistance for internal appointments in the Therapy Department, Clinic, Beauty Shop, Barber Shop, Resident Bank and Gift Shoppe or to outside medical appointments.

Lynn has worked in health care in Central New York for over 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Education from SUNY Cortland and Master of Public Service in Health Care Administration from the New School for Social Research. I've been a nurse since 1992 and came to Van Duyn with experience in Long-term Care and Pain Management.
