
Indy Dance Academy is committed to providing high quality and positive dance education to our youth dancers through curriculum based classes in several dance techniques and styles. IDA's diverse schedule serves students ages 9 months through adult, from the beginner to the pre-professional dancer.
IDA's Pre-Dance Classes, for young dancers ages 9 months to 7 years, introduce movement, coordination and beginning dance skills through curriculum- based classes.Grade based classes in multiple styles and dance techniques are offered for dancers in 1st- 12th grade. Indy Dance Academy also offers the pre-professional dance the opportunity to study techniques in multiple dance disciplines at an advanced level.

Academy Policies
Report
All recreational students must enter / exit through the front door. Side door (located on west side of building) is for Company and Team dancers & IDA staff only. We do not permit parents, guardians, siblings to wait on dancer during class time inside IDA currently. Stay in car or outside during dancer's class time.
Class Attire
Report
All dancers must have their hair pulled back in a neat ponytail for class; bun for ballet class. Below you will find specific information regarding class attire and shoes for each of our classes. To purchase your class attire and shoes, please visit our online store and all purchased items will be conveniently shipped directly to your home.
Employment
Report
IDA's programming includes adult, youth recreational and youth competitive dance education. We place value on technique driven dance education for all dancers within our programing. Applying Instructors should have a strong technical background in multiple dance techniques, ability to teach, choreograph and connect with all levels of dancers.
Competition Program
Report
Dancers are placed onto Company & Team levels based off of audition and by IDA Dance Director's, Stefanie Allen, decision in order to properly develop their technique and to ensure quality instruction with level based curriculum and choreography. If your dancer is not placed on a IDA Company & Team level for the upcoming season, he or she will be placed in IDA's Company Prep Program.

Whether you are looking for space to host a one time event, rehearsal or workshop or in need of an ongoing rental venue, IDA is the ideal facility for your next event! Our smaller studios offer a warm and inviting rehearsal environment, while our bigger studios offer an expansive space designed with large scale production rehearsals and workshops in mind.
