Dr. Kathleen Kinney graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry and has been practicing as a developmental optometrist in the Pacific Northwest since 1993. Dr. Kinney is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and was board certified as a Fellow (FCOVD) of this organization in 1998.
Eye Care

It is important that a child have a complete evaluation in the summer prior to entry into Kindergarten. While in school, yearly evaluations are recommended. Dr. Kinney monitors a child's vision development throughout their school years. The American Optometric Association recommends a yearly eye exam for adults -- not only to detect and to diagnose vision changes or problems -- but, also to maintain eye health.

We are dedicated to providing high quality, fashionable frames and lenses at a great value. We also offer an excellent selection of children's glasses. Feel free to browse our frame room during your exam, or call to make an appointment for a glasses fitting. We are also able to fit and order a wide variety of soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses.
Vision Therapy

Some visual conditions cannot be treated adequately with just glasses, contact lenses and/or surgery, and are best resolved through a program of Vision Therapy. Vision Therapy is an individualized, supervised, treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies.
Vision Therapy Evaluation

Like all optometrists and ophthalmologists, Dr. Kinney will check the health of your eyes and evaluate how clearly you can see. This includes an assessment/update of your eyeglass or contact lens prescription. In addition to these standard tests, she will evaluate your eyes and vision to determine how your visual system is affecting your development, individual performance, and overall quality of life.
