Eye doctor Laura Nguyen, OD has been serving families within the Inland Empire for over 15 years. During this time Dr. Laura has been very involved in the community as demonstrated by her volunteer work with the Head Start program at public schools as well as her participation in the free eye exam program for senior citizens.

Cataracts & Eye Surgery

A cataract happens when the lens inside the eye becomes cloudy. This is typically a part of the aging process, but cataracts can also develop in younger people too. The cloudiness caused by a cataract scatters light into the eye that would normally be focused on the retina for a clear image. Cataracts can also cause glare, halos, blurring and alter color perception.
Laser Vision Correction

LASIK or Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis, is a refractive surgery for correcting myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism. LASIK works by reshaping the cornea using a computer controlled beam of ultraviolet light from an excimer laser. The actual surgical process is done in a matter a minutes. Patients are given mild muscle relaxants before the process along with topical drops to anesthetize the eye and maintain cleanliness.
