Charlie Clayton began his building career in 1984, following a long lineage and family tradition of property development and homebuilding tracing back to the 1950s. He understands and appreciates the value of serving the local community.

He was the local president of the Home Builders Association (now known as GOBA), past president of the Master Custom Builders Council (MCBC), Builder of the Year designations, and nationally has served as a National Director of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).He built the company from the ground up into a nationally acclaimed company attaining many coveted Aurora and BALA Awards.

The vision for Via Gavannetto was to create a "100 year old" home that would be very much in keeping with the older very established neighborhood, yet at the same time do justice to the magnificent 1.76 acre lake front lot with the most commanding water views in the area. The home was built in a classical design with a brick faade; white washed to age it.
