Wuxia Martial Arts Center was founded by Sifu Scott Tarbell for the purpose of preserving traditional Chinese, Brazilian, and Filipino martial arts along with providing a school for learning practical self defense and sports combat in a fun family setting.

Wuxia Martial Arts Center is dedicated to preserving the Traditional Chinese Martial Art of Ving Tsun Kung Fu as passed down from Grandmaster Ip Man, Grandmaster Remy Presas's Filipino Martial Art of Modern Arnis, as well as promoting sport combat martial arts such as No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to provide students with a balanced approach to martial theories and practical applications of self defense.
History

The common legend as told by Ip Man involves the young woman Yim Wing Chun (Wing Chun literally means forever springtime or praising spring) at the time after the destruction of the Southern Shaolin and its associated temples by the Qing government. After Wing Chun rebuffs the local warlord's marriage offer, he says he'll rescind his proposal if she can beat him in a martial art match.

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors. Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students.
