Consular Processing

Consular Processing is a way in which foreign nationals not currently residing in the U.S. can obtain permanent legal status (a "green card") via the U.S. embassy in their home country. If you have an approved immigrant petition and there is an immigrant visa number immediately available to you, you may be eligible for Consular Processing.
Deferred Action

In many cases, they determined these people should be removed from consideration of removal, or deportation, from the country. Additionally, these people are now eligible for a Deferred Action period of two years after which they are either subject for renewal or ready for work authorization.
