Bay Area Yoga Center
At the Bay Area Yoga Center for Health and Healing, we offer flow based (vinyasa) yoga classes that emphasize proper alignment and safe practice in a friendly and quiet atmosphere. We are rooted in the Astanga tradition of yoga which incorporates lifestyle, movement, breath, meditation, self study, and service.

The yoga practice at Bay Yoga is fantastic for improving strength, endurance and flexibility. Our nationally certified and registered teachers explain and demonstrate each posture. We encourage students to progress at their own pace. Flow Yoga provides poses that range from gentle to challenging, but are done with stable, self-centering energy.

Our Story
Report
As the owner of Bay Area Yoga Center for Health and Healing, I am passionate about helping people feel better. You are the only one who can heal you- I can help you figure out how to do this. For over 35 years, I have been studying the disciplines of yoga, meditation and movement.

During these many decades, I have sought out the best teachers of yoga, pranayama, meditation, stillness, yoga therapy, Ayurveda, Yoga Nidra, and movement that I could find.I am a perpetual student who loves to learn and share my skills and abilities with my students. I never stop learning and continue to take courses, workshops and trainings annually.

The past year and a half has changed life for all of us. Although we hope that things are finally returning to normal, there are a few lasting impacts from the pandemic. At the center, we now require that you preregister for all classes and events. Walk-ins are not permitted. We continue to do extra cleaning and sanitizing, and monitor the ever changing guidelines and situation.
