Services
Bella as she's known at KHC oversees the agency's service operations. She has been with KHC since 2010 when she transitioned from the neighborhood's independent pharmacy. She has a total of 14 years in community health working in various roles.
She loves working at the health center especially in the Ko'olauloa community and being a part of a system that provides equitable care to all particularly those who are not welcomed in traditional health care settings.Even before Dr. Lum became a doctor, he knew he wanted to work with children, to help them become the best versions of themselves.

KHC offers dental services at its Kahuku and Red Raider Health Center facilities. Services include preventive, restorative, oral cleanings, bridges, extractions, oral health education, and more. Behavioral health is an essential part of overall wellness and services are provided at KHC's Hau'ula, Kahuku, and Red Raider Health Center facilities.

Ive been with Ko'olauloa Health Center for over 5 years. I never had problem with the nurses or receptionists, all very helpful & supportive. I am upset with one of their doctors who seems lost. This is my 3rd time seeing her for the same issue, if she had done the first thing that she was suppose to do the first time then i wouldnt have to walk all the way to the clinic today. After this visit, i am changing doctors. She also does not know how to do Tele Health which would be helpful...Im just disappointed.

Most of my experiences are positive. But unfortunately my last one was not and has the greatest impact on my health. I am getting surgery this Friday May 31st. I had a pre-op physical done 3 weeks ago and still have not received the clearance letter from the physician even though I have been calling 4 days straight. It’s very unprofessional for this not to have been taken care of weeks ago, especially when I’m getting major surgery in 3 days.

Quality care from welcoming staff. They always fit us in and send timely reminders. We travel halfway across the island, because we never feel pressure about vaccine choices or other treatments options. Dr. Sutherland is informative, never pushy, and makes an effort to make the little ones feel comfortable. Worth all that turtle traffic for sure!

Their old timer staff could use some joy. You can see the difference from the new ones because they're much more happier. Just went for a dr visit and everything went very smooth. It's an older center so don't expect fancy anything but it's good enough to get a lot of different things done. One huge thing that made me decide to stop coming here as much as I used to was their billing system sucks! Don't know if it's the staffs billing incorrectly but in the past I'd always get bills months even years later. I usually hold on to receipts for dr visits but not more

As a mom of three kids three and under (!!!!!) I am so grateful to be close to this facility. We love the outdoor shaded waiting area- NO MORE WAITING ROOM SCREAMS! We love the automatic super wide doors that my double stroller easily fit through, the air conditioner blasts, and we seldom wait to be seen more than five minutes. Also, I have to mention that they meet or dental needs as a family with an incredible pediatric dentist who handles my screamer two year old like an Olympic champion. I don't usually write reviews but know the struggle to find healthcare that is compatible with your family

I have been using these services for 6 years. I am very great full to everyone who works so hard there and makes the system work. The pharmacy is wonderful and always has everything ready quick. The women who run the front desk are always willing to help. My primary care provider Dr.Jude sells is great and even made time to fit me in when I had strep throats and didn't have an appointment and everything was all booked! Thanks everyone !

Short wait time and ok doctors. My concern is the time it takes my doctors to follow up. I waited a week for a referral to get an ultrasound. Ended up calling my doc to REMIND him I needed it then it took another week for him to read the results and get me a referral to an endocrinologist. 3 weeks total for something that should have been 1 week or a week and a half at most!! Now I'm hoping he won't take another week to get the endo doc to call for an appt . It also took 3 visits before for another very simple problem was solved. They will get you in n out quickly but follow ups and

Easily accessible with late hours. Professional care and friendly staff. Great programs available, too.
The pre-diabetes class was very good. Great support and caring people to help you understand a better eating and excercise life style. I continue to follow the examples taught me and I'm successfully losing weight and walking more.

Upon waiting for 3 weeks to get an appointment here for my son who had lost a filling, you arrive and there are no signs to the dental office. Finally I asked someone and they pointed me to the correct direction which was through another doctors office through that doctors offices patient rooms, and finally at the end of the hallway there was a desk in one of the patient rooms where luckily the very nice front desk lady ushered me into her "office".
Checked us in and then had me go out into the waiting room which was out past the patient rooms again and had my son sit in dental chair

I have nothing but praise for this group. I had to take my eighty-two-year-old grandfather in today, and even though I ended up getting horribly lost and showed up late for my appointment (I did call ahead to let them know), they were nothing but courteous and still fit us in.
Angel, the lady at the front desk, was so friendly, and when she saw how difficult sitting was for my grandfather, she hurried us through so he wouldn't be stuck waiting to be seen. That alone makes her my hero.
The doctor, Jason Hughes, was also incredibly friendly. My grandfather is getting pretty senile and
