Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has been practiced for thousands of years and is now often used to complement and enhance the benefits of western medicine. Simply put, acupuncture is the physical act of inserting a needle into a specific location (acupoints) on the body to induce a physiological response.
Our bodies consists of pathways called meridians in which Qi (our vital energy or life energy) flows through. Meridians connect all organs to body structures. When there is an imbalance in the flow of Qi, disease can occur resulting in pain or illness. By inserting fine needles into acupoints, we can help restore balance to the flow of Qi.

Along with ACUPUNCTURE, Carmen may use other modalities such as CUPPING, GUA SHA, MOXIBUSTION or REIKI to enhance your treatment. The end goal is always your well-being.
