Acupuncture is one of the many modalities we practice at Onyx. Acupuncture consists of the insertion of needles into the body at specific points shown to be effective in the treatments of specific health problems. These points have been mapped by the Chinese over a period of two thousand years and there are several hundred known acupuncture points.

Our goal as your practitioner is to encourage a partnership with our patients by creating a safe and honest environment to allow the healing process to occur. Each patient's treatment will be customized toward achieving the healthiest and happiest life possible, getting you out of our office and back to your everyday life as soon as possible.

National Board Certification by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) is a rigorous process that includes a strict set of criteria that candidates must complete prior to being certified.

Candidates must complete a minimum 1900 hours of course work in a Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine approved institution as well as extensive clinical training prior to being able to sit for the national board exams.The NCCAOM offers certification in acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Asian Body Work, and Oriental Medicine, which is a comprehensive certification that includes all of the previously listed certifications.

Please inquire during your appointment. Packages of 5 and 10 sessions are available and reduce the cost of each session when paid in advance in full. We encourage keeping your money local in the Wheat Ridge community by paying with cash, check or Venmo. We are not in-network with health insurance providers at this time.
