Dr. Joy earned her degree at the University of the East, College of Dentistry, in the Philippines, and has been practicing dentistry in the Bay Area for more than 15 years.

Dr Joy is very professional, and skillful with her dentistry work. I have gone through several dentist, and I always have reservation about dentist recommending me work that does not need to be done. This is my 1st time getting a crown and I am very happy with the results. Very seldom I put recommendation but I am confident if you choose Dr. Joy, you will not need to change dentist again! Her Staff are all so wonderful, and professional as well. Appointments and reminders are easy, and they all make the trip much less stressful.

If I could give this Dentistry a 0 rating I would. Every single time they cancel my appointment because they don't have staff available, or ask me to change my appointment to accommodate their schedule. Whenever they cancel my appt, they rebook me for months in advance and then cancel the appt again. They are completely disorganized and have the worst customer service. I would not recommend this dentist practice even if your teeth depend on them.

This dental office runs a tight ship. I was scheduling my first visit with them and my first dental visit since the initial lockdown of march 2020. Since I got fully vaccinated, I was ready to visit the dentist again.
The team member over e-mail was responsive prior to my initial visit. She made sure I was aligned properly with my insurance and submitted the proper information. She was able to help me schedule a time that worked for both of us. Very accommodating.
When it was time to come in, I was genuinely impressed at how smooth everything ran. Dr. Joy's team is professional, courteous, efficient

Love this place so far and I haven't been to the dentist in years so I had a lot of anxiety and concerns going in. The staff stayed gentle and patient with me throughout the process which is truly appreciated!! I was referred by a friend and have referred one of my friends over to this place already it's that great. If anyone is looking for a local dentist, i highly recommend. Dr. Joy at Joyful Smile! Everyone from front desk, to her hygienists to Dr. Joy herself were amazing. My daughter is a very anxious child. While she was excited for the dentist, she was terrified at the same time. Joyful Smile made this a great experience for her. She got to watch the shows she liked on her own tv while her teeth were cleaned. No tears, no real tantrums, and all smiles!

I cannot tell you enough how much going to the dentist gives me intense anxiety. Dr joy and her team is absolutely incredible, treats you with kindness and respect. They don’t judge you. I struggle to take care of my teeth and they make me want to do better because they take such good care of my teeth and are so kind about it. My husband and I have been going here for two years. Dr. Joy and her staff are amazing! The hygienist Julia teaches me how to floss and keep my teeth healthy. She is very professional and kind! Dr. Joy always explains to me what treatment I'm about to receive before the procedure. It made me feel safe. My recent visit was during the pandemic. They are taking extra safety measures and precautions. They would screen you before the appointment. You can see air purifiers running in the office. Dr Joy and her assistant wear PPE. With the recent concern over COVID-19, the office has been taking all of the necessary precautions -- screening patients before their appointment, taking temperatures, reducing the number of patients in the office at any given time, and using PPE. Dr Joy and all her team are above excellent. I had an emergency and they still gave me an urgent appointment just before Thanksgiving! The admin person was very helpful in the appointment process and I felt extremely safe as her assistant come to greet me outside to take my temperature and a survey. Distances are kept and all is neat. The treatment was performed in the best way while going far beyond to accommodate my circumstances. I am extremely satisfied with the service at this place. The staff was very welcoming and assisted me with every inquiry in a transparent manner. I was very nervous about my visit but the doctor made sure that I am feeling comfortable all along the way and not rushing things through. She also handled the whole procedure very gently. Made a first time appointment with Joyful Smile over a month ago. Calling back to confirm my date set, and was told I was not even in file! Wasted my time giving them all my information. This place is great in every way. Been going here for two years and could not be happier with the service I have received. Have had multiple deep cleanings and many routine cleanings and my teeth have never been healthier. They also recommended me to an amazing Orthodontist for braces so not only are my teeth whiter and healthier than ever. They are now straighter than ever. Can't thank the staff here enough for how great they have been over the years. Looking forward to many more joyful smiles :)

My son and I been going to Joyful Smile for a few years now and I love it. Dr Joy and her staff are amazing. Always greeted when I enter the office. The facility is clean. They remember us whenever we are there. (Which feels like always) but we come in every 6 months for our regular cleanings.
I recently came in for some fillings and was there for almost two hours. I watch Greys Anatomy on Netflix which made the time go by faster. They give you head phones and sunglasses to help with the light. Dr Joy made sure I was comfortable and asked me if I was ok.

UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I would give them zero stars if i could. They do not care about their patients. They will cancel you on a dime and push you around if you don't reply to emails. that is such BS!! Not everyone will check their emails. they need to call like normal places do, and they need to state the cancellation policy if they are going to not tell ppl they are cancelling them! THIS IS NOT OKAY! DO NOT GO HERE!

Dr Joy and her team of hygienists are amazing! Nobody likes going to the dentist however the hygienists do SUCH a good job and take their time with no pain at all - you almost look forward to it. Very professional, very friendly and caring! The facilities are beautiful and clean.
Also their appointment system make it easy to stay on top of cleanings. Awesome dentist! You will not regret going there. Keep up the great work! :)

Dr. Joy and her staff are wonderful!!! Crystal is sweet and always helpful and cheerful on the phone and in person. I love my hygienist Andrea, she's great!!! After many, many years of having a phobia of dentists and anxiety surrounding dental care (from a bad experience as a child), Dr. Joy and her staff have honestly made me worry free! They are thorough, caring, gentle, happy to explain everything and give me options, and the office is state of the art! The chairs are comfortable, love the TV's with Netflix, and the overall welcoming atmosphere of the office. Even the Scentsy warmers

I can not believe I have not left a review here yet! I was lucky enough to find Dr. Joy through yelp, And it is a convenient 2 min drive from my office. I have recommended my coworkers, my husband , mother and friends here to this office, That is how much I love this place!!
