Our curriculum is designed to promote both social and emotional growth with an emphasis on the development of positive self-esteem. Each week the pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church leads the children in a devotional service in the chapel. The teachers follow an established Christian Education curriculum, and also teach a weekly Bible or Christian attitude story.
St. John's Christian Preschool was established in 1966 as an outreach program of St. John's Lutheran Church. We are licensed by the Maryland State Board of Education. Our mission statement, "To shepherd growing and developing children in a Christian environment" incorporates age appropriate academic readiness.

St. John's Christian Preschool is a non-profit organization and an outreach of St. John's Lutheran Church. The preschool was established for the purpose of promoting the mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual growth of children. The professional staff supervises and guides the children through a program of play and instruction with a daily emphasis on Christian attitudes.

Each week the pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church leads the children in a devotional service in the chapel. This reinforces their learning about the Christian faith, provides an opportunity for worship on their level and includes a prayer, a song and a brief Bible or Christian attitude story. St. John's Lutheran Church offers two church services and Christian education for all ages.
