Southern Eye Associates is a physician owned comprehensive eye care practice with multiple locations in the Upstate of South Carolina. Founded with a goal of having a group of eye care physicians that treat patients like family who are focused on quality eye care without high pressures of out of pocket patient payments for unnecessary procedures.
In the Community

Our doctors and staff have a spirit of caring for others. Our physicians partner with groups in the upstate of S.C. to provide eye care to those in need. Some of these partnerships include Eye Care America, Health Care for the Homeless, Miracle Hill, the Lions Club and Servants for Sight.
Southern Eye Associates founded Servants for Sight in 2009, a non-profit with a mission to help disadvantaged people get the eye care they need to lead productive lives.We also want to help others learn more about eye care and diseases. We are happy to provide continuing education seminars for regional optometrists, health fairs, community centers and senior action groups.

Eye Exams

Routine and comprehensive eye exams are the key to preventing common eye diseases. By checking the overall health of your eyes on a routine basis, our doctors are able to detect any changes in your eye health and take necessary steps to prevent vision loss. Eyes are usually dilated with dilating eye drops.
Cataracts
Report
A cataract is a clouding of the eye's lens. Our eyes work much like a camera, and the lens of our eye (like a camera lens) allows light rays to travel into our eye through the pupil. These light rays are focused through the lens onto the retina, a layer of light-sensitive cells at the back of the eye.
