Boxing In The Park
Yes, boxing lessons is a great way to get in shape. But it's way more than that. Learning to box is mentally challenging, improves balance and agility, and just fun to do! The focus is on mitt-work, not sparring, so no catching punches with your face (but we do work on defense!). I train to get you ready to fight, even if you never do.

So whether you've never thrown a punch or you're fine-tuning your Golden Glove skills, I make sure your game improves. Audubon Park is one of the most beautiful places in the city. The live oaks provide shade on the hottest day, there are 4 miles of trail running, an outdoor lap pool, and par course elements all providing an endless variety of strength and conditioning training opportunities.

Strength and conditioning are the foundations of your boxing training. At Audubon Park, our training options are limitless. On "mitt" days, the first 20 minutes of each session includes warm up, rope work, resistance band training, and circle drills to get your heart rate up and muscles loose.

On "run" days, we take it in the park and may spend the entire hour working hand-to-hand boxing drills in between jogging, sprinting, dips, pull ups, box jumps. Now this IS the fun stuff! The boxing training is totally tailored to your level. For beginners, it's the basics: how to punch, block and move your feet.

Check out these amazing kids! They live in the streets in Kampala, Uganda but get free training, clothes, and a meal (sometimes) by the great coaches at the Kasubi Boxing Club. 5% of your training fees goes to these kids. Our first project is to build a chicken coop business for the Kasubi Boxing Club where the kids help care for the chickens and sell the eggs in the local market.
