Chinese medicine is one of the world's oldest systems of medicine. It is comprised of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and other holistic modalities. Acupuncture involves the insertion of hair-thin needles into various acupuncture points on the body to re-establish balance within the individual.
Acupuncture
Report
Balance method acupuncture uses "distal" points (points found away from the symptomatic location) on the arms and legs to treat the affected area. For example, if a person comes in with low back pain, needles are often put in the ankles and arms, and not the back itself. First, it allows the practitioner to observe the effectiveness of the treatment right away, by having the person move the affected area once the needles are in.
Food Sensitivity Testing
Report
Inner Sage Boston Acupuncture & Wellness, LLC uses a testing company that ships test kits directly to your home. Most people think of allergies as being limited to reactions to environmental or seasonal allergens (dust, mold, pollen, etc). When we think of food allergies, what often comes to mind is a severe peanut allergy that sends someone in to anaphylaxis shock.
