Welcome to Paella del Reyes, chef Tom Meckfessel's wood fired mobile paella extravaganza. We make our paella over our mobile wood fired grill at your party in Marin, Sonoma, Napa, San Francisco, etc. We can cook the best paella for you and your party whether you're celebrating a graduation, rehearsal dinner, wedding or just being alive.

Thomas has always loved to cook outdoors for large groups of people. Working as a river guide in Alaska, he honed his skills cooking over open fires in all types of weather. He started cooking paella about 10 years ago for friends and family on the beaches of Tomales Bay and over time Paella del Reyes was founded.

How It Works

With our mobile paella grill we can set up almost anywhere and feed from 40 to 600 guests. We do all of the prep work on site and bring everything we need to prepare the paella. All you need to do is provide the silverware and plates. It takes about 3 hours from start to finish (actual cooking time is approximately 2 hours).
Ingredients

At Paella del Reyes our ingredients are as important as our reputation. Based in Point Reyes, sustainable, quality ingredients are always readily available. We try to use all organic and local ingredients when possible. Our paellas start with extra virgin olive oil, air chilled chicken (from Mary's Chicken) and the best bilbao chorizo.

Tom and his crew catered our 100-guest wedding in Point Reyes Station. We got SO many accolades for the paella. Super fun for the guests to see the process in action - they lined up quickly and eagerly! Service was super smooth. Tom was easy to work with and very accommodating. I have found the Marin County Parks staff to be exceptionally helpful and easy to work with. Both Paradise and McNears are on the water, can accommodate big groups and are very affordable. On the shores of Tomales Bay the "farm" offers a rustic setting surrounded by the inner workings of the Hog Island Oyster Company.
