Almassian Jewelers was established in 2006 by husband and wife gemologists Shannon and Trent Almassian. Their intention was to open a retail jewelry store that would provide West Michigan with access to the international jewelry industry that was previously only available in larger markets. Trent is the third generation in his family to be in the jewelry industry.
He is a Graduate Jeweler Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and a Certified Gemologist from the American Gem Society (AGS). Trent has a unique understanding of the industry, having worked for Tiffany & Co. in Southern California as well as in the diamond district in Chicago, and on Chicago's Oak Street.
