Hillsman-Hix Funeral goes back to 1960 when it was founded by William E. Hillsman, a long time native of Amelia County. We purchased the funeral home from its previous owner John Royall in 1986. In addition, we are honored with confidence the people of this county have extended to us. We intend to maintain that trust they have given to us.

Our staff is comprised of dedicated and licensed professionals with the experience to answer all your questions regarding our services. Please feel free to contact any of our staff members at any time. Jim has been a licensed funeral director since 1974. He is a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and is a graduate of the American Academy of Funeral Service.
