Luckily, due to modern treatment technologies, the list of foods you can't eat with braces is pretty short. Soft foods may be easier to eat with braces, but there's no need to switch to a liquid diet or eat only soup. Avoid nuts and sticky, hard, or crunchy foods and bread crusts, as they can lead to broken braces.

Dr. Jared Gianquinto-known around the office as Dr. G-is a national leader in the orthodontics community, an awarded navy veteran, proud father, and aspiring bass guitar player (ask him about the guitars hanging in his office). Born and raised right here in Bakersfield, Dr. G trained at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, where he was inducted into the Endodontics and Oral Surgery honors societies.

Dr. G's dedication to the community started in Boy Scouts, where he eventually achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, not entirely because his parents wouldn't let him drive unless he finished. Throughout his career, he has served others through humanitarian relief missions, and served our country in the United States Navy Reserve for over twelve years.
