Counseling, also known as psychotherapy, is the process of an individual meeting together with a mental health professional. The session consists of talk therapy, treatment planning, trauma processing and recovery accountability. It is a safe spot to share and discuss things that you choose not to tell others.

Individual therapy can be a good place to start if you are looking for help in knowing where to go next. We work with treatment centers to be able to recommend the correct level of care based on the level of unhealthy behaviors. The goal of therapy is to learn to change self-destructive behaviors and habits, resolve painful feelings, improve your relationships, and more.

What We Charge
Report
Prime Counseling is an out-of-network provider, and currently does not accept insurance. If you're unsure if you have out-of-network benefits, contact your insurance company and ask about whether or not they offer reimbursement for behavioral health, at what percentage, and whether you need to hit a deductible first.
Questions
Report
How come you guys only see clients struggling with substance use, addiction, eating disorders, and personality disorders?. A. Our counselors have a passion for these diagnoses. We strongly feel we can use this passion to serve this underserved community. These behaviors are very risky and we are committed to staying up to date on the most relevant information in treating them.
Our Core Values
Report
We believe all clients deserve dignity and worth, no matter what choices they have made in the past. We believe that no-one is beyond being helped. We believe in restoration and that lives can be reclaimed through recovery. Our counselors are committed to saying things people in your life may not have the courage to say.
Family Therapy
Report
Our therapists have experience working with dysfunctional family patterns, high conflict, enmeshment, and addiction. We support family members in understanding their role (or lack there of) in the healing process. We work with all the feelings that come with these diagnoses including betrayal, confusion, questions, anger, sadness, and more.
Addiction
Report
We focus on recovery from a holistic and 12-step perspective. Addiction is a complex but treatable disease that affects both brain function and behaviors. Through therapy clients can recognize, avoid, and cope with the situations in which they are most likely to use drugs, such as feeling entitled to have things one's own way or not understanding the consequences of one's behavior.
