His experience ranges from working in both corporate and private veterinary hospitals, as well as high- and low-cost animal clinics, and at the Humane Society. Today, he is the proud owner of Utah Veterinary Hospital, where he provides the highest standard of care to a wide variety of pets. He raises Koi as a hobby in his own home.
He dedicates much of his veterinary work to the memory of his beloved "Flojo". Our team also consists of a variety of highly skilled, caring and experienced veterinary technicians, receptionists, and assistants who are dedicated to making your experience with our animal hospital a positive one. Utah Veterinary Hospital is owned and operated by Dr. Samuel Rivera. Dr. Rivera was born in Durango, Mexico, and grew up in beautiful Southern California. He attended the University of California, Davis, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, with an emphasis in Captive and Companion Animals in 2004.
