Welcome to The Sunshine's Haven Counseling Center, a safe haven for a wide variety of concerns, issues and/or challenges. My name is Afiya K. Hooker and I am a Licensed Psychotherapist in the state of Alabama. My staff and I offer an inviting, therapeutic and confidential office that allows clients to process their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, while also gaining insight on how to effectively address presenting problems and concerns.
Through the use of various counseling techniques and methods, our clients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with any of life's challenging obstacles. My therapy sessions are designed to dissect issues and provide my clients with effective tools to bring about positive changes in their thoughts, feelings, behaviors and lives.

Afiya K. Hooker is a Licensed Psychotherapist, Professional Speaker, Mentor and Business Consultant. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Spring Hill College in 2010 and her Master of Science degree from a CACREP accredited program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2014.

Schedule your 30 minute consultation where we will discuss your presenting concerns, while reviewing several methods to assist you in determining and/or reaching your goals. All new clients complete this 90 minute biopsychosocial assessment where we will explore all areas of your life, past to present.
