Del Puerto Health Care District
We have top quality Paramedics and EMTs who offer 24-hour emergency medical services to Patterson and the surrounding communities. The District's primary mission is to provide the highest quality health care services through Patterson Ambulance and Del Puerto Health Center, while expanding the healthcare availability to the citizens of the Del Puerto Health Care District.

We provide adult, pediatric and industrial health services for our community. Medical areas served are: women's health care education, diabetes education for the public, laceration treatment and asthmatic treatment programs. Major insurances accepted including: Medi-Cal and Medicare. The ACHD Certified Healthcare District Program promotes good governance for Healthcare Districts by creating a core set of accountability and transparency standards.

Del Puerto Health Care District has been serving the community since 1949. The Del Puerto Health Care District Board has positioned the District to begin moving forward, insuring that all aspects of the health continuum are considered for the communities of west Stanislaus County. The District's goal is to forge partnerships to insure, at the appropriate time, high quality, long-term solutions to health care needs are addressed.
What is a Health Care District
Report
California Healthcare Districts respond to the specialized health needs of California communities. Voters created 79 Healthcare Districts to fulfill local health care needs. Of these, 54 serve the state's rural areas. Healthcare Districts provide access to essential health services and are directly accountable at the community level.
District Governance

Mr. Luis Avila is a Senior Healthcare Operations Consultant whose professional work focuses on partnering with clinical staff to improve patient. Cities, counties and special districts in California are required by law (AB 1234, Chapter 700, Stats. of 2005) to provide ethics training to their local officials.
Board Elections and Vacancies

Del Puerto Health Care District is governed by a 5-member board of directors who are publicly elected to serve four-year terms. Board members must be residents within the boundaries of the District. When a Directors leaves their seat before the term is concluded our Board of Directors' Bylaws and CA State Law provide how vacancies are to be filled.
Finance Committee
Report
Two of our Board members review each month's financial reports including income, expenses, bank account reconciliations, and budget performance. Monthly financial reports are included in each month's committee packet. Please here to access the Financial Committee page and the meeting packets. In compliance with state law, we provide income and expense information to the State Controller's office annually.
