Kiddies Kollege Christian Center is an offspring of Kiddies Kollege, Inc. which was founded in 1947 by Laura Shumate to help care for working parents in the Maryland & Washington DC area. Kiddies Kollege Christian Center in Laurel was founded 1996 by Chad Shumate the grandson of Laura. Shumate. Prior to opening this location, Chad was the managing director of his Grandmother's centers in Maryland and Washington DC.

The Abeka Book curriculum is a comprehensive, biblically-based curriculum, textbooks, teaching aids, and more for Preschool through Grade twelve(12). The Abeka Book curriculum is developed by a Pensacola Christian College and provides one of the most academically challenging preschool curricula available.

We will not promote children to another classroom or graduate children early based upon a child's academic progress or parent preference. Language Arts: Recognition of name, sound, and picture for short vowels and consonants. Formation of vowels and consonants in upper and lower case. Language development and listening skills that include color words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety, manners, science.
Health & Well-being

Your child's health is important to us. We ask that parents notify us of any medical conditions or medication the child may be taking. Our staff is certified in CPR and/or First Aid through the American Red Cross. Should an accident occur, first aid will be administered. If illness becomes apparent during the day, the parents will be contacted by the Center to pick up the child.

KKCC is a private institution that operates on a tight budget mainly derived from tuition payments. Timely payment allows KKCC to offer high-quality services, teacher materials and supplies, and a well-trained and educated staff. Therefore, KKCC uses Tuition Express (third party processor) for tuition payments.
