Services
Acupuncture
Our acupuncture treatments stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms through precise needle placement. This ancient technique effectively addresses chronic pain, neurological issues, and emotional disorders. Patients experience improved energy flow and systemic balance during sessions lasting 30-45 minutes. Many report immediate symptom relief following treatment.
Herbal Medicine
Custom herbal formulations complement acupuncture treatments using time-tested Chinese plant-based remedies. Practitioners create personalized blends targeting specific health concerns from digestive issues to hormonal imbalances. These natural solutions work synergistically with other therapies for comprehensive wellness outcomes.
Moxibustion
This traditional heat therapy involves burning mugwort near acupuncture points to enhance circulation and energy flow. Particularly effective for chronic pain and cold-related conditions, our practitioners carefully apply this technique to amplify treatment effectiveness through controlled thermal stimulation.
Cupping
Therapeutic cupping creates localized suction to relieve muscle tension and improve blood flow. Our practitioners use this technique to treat sports injuries and chronic pain conditions. Patients often experience immediate relaxation of tight musculature during treatment sessions.
Nutritional Counseling
Holistic nutritional advice focuses on whole-food approaches to wellness. Our counselors provide practical dietary recommendations that complement other treatments. This service helps patients address chronic health issues through sustainable eating habits aligned with Eastern medicine principles.

Went to this place and tried acupuncture for the first time ever. I didn't know what to expect. But Diana was great and really took the time to listen and speak to me about my ongoing issues with my body. When you get there you fill out a long form, questionnaire about yourself/health. It takes a bit so get there earlier. After speaking about it with her you enter a big room with the beds and comfy seats. Wear something comfortable because I didn't. You have to be able to lift your sleeves and pants up comfortably. You then pick a bed and the acupuncture starts. There is soft music playing

Johanne is wonderful! Caring, calm, and very effective at finding where joint and muscle pain is coming from and treating it. I've been to other acupuncturists before, but Johanne is much better and I appreciate the reasonable cost. I was nervous about a common treatment room, but the vibe is relaxed and I don't miss having a private room at all. After about 4 treatments, I've noticed a significant improvement.

I walked in limping from a spasm in my foot that had started the night before. Cause? Who knows! Working out, walking in flip flops, life, my age?! Anyway, Johanne took her time to assess where the pain was and how it limited my range of movement. I walked out without a limp and much less pain. I didn't think I would like "community treatment," but it actually felt like a collaborative healing environment. Very quiet, clean and zen place- right in the heart of Harlem. I will be back.

I've only had one experience with Acupuncture when I traveled to Indonesia and I found it very beneficial. I'm glad my research led me to Harlem Chi Community Acupuncture. Despite checking out their website, the overall actual experience was better than I expected. The 'shared' space was clean, calm and refreshing. For only having one session, the acupuncture treatment was above average. I plan on making acupuncture a bi-weekly or monthly activity when needed. I felt better physically and mentally afterwards. As a new patient, it cost $62 for the for session. Subsequent
