Back in the mid-nineties, I took a rare break from my non-profit work and tried a snowboarding lesson on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains, with who turned out to be my life and business partner. What resulted was an immediate love affair with my husband, Roland, and the Rocky Mountains (but I will never get on a snowboard again!).

Because they are fun! Most grooms might disagree with me, but by the end of a session at our studio, they usually admit that "it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - it actually was fun!" I love these portrait sessions as it is a great opportunity to have you as a couple interact and capture those natural moments when you are more relaxed.

In 20 years, the music from your wedding will have faded. The yummy appetizers will be a memory. And you probably won't fit into your dress. But you will still have your wedding images. And you will cherish them more as you get older and move through your life.
