Services
Critical Care Transport
Our ground critical care units handle ICU patient transfers between healthcare facilities. Each team includes personnel with advanced training in ventilator management, IV pump operation, and complex medication administration. This service maintains continuous monitoring and critical interventions during patient transport.
Air Medical Transport
Medstar Ambulance LifeFlight provides rapid critical care transport over long distances. Each flight team includes a nurse paramedic, paramedic, and skilled pilot. The program enables efficient transfer of critically ill patients between medical facilities while maintaining advanced life support measures during transit.
Mobile Health Services
Specially-trained paramedics provide home healthcare services including discharge follow-up, medication compliance monitoring, and preventative care. This program reduces hospital readmissions by addressing patients' social determinants of health and providing in-home health assessments.
Ambulatory Transport
Non-emergency transportation service for patients who do not meet medical necessity for ambulance care. We transport patients to medical appointments, specialty care facilities, or home after hospital discharge. Services require advance scheduling through our non-emergency dispatch center.
EMT Training Program
CAAHEP-accredited emergency medical technician courses prepare students for EMS careers. The program offers flexible scheduling with on-site and online learning resources. EMT graduates receive free paramedic training as part of our commitment to workforce development in emergency medical services.

When I had to call 911 yesterday the paramedic is had named Steve or Steven was so kind to me. I was in so much pain and scared and he was so professional and treated me like a family member. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Worst Ambulance service ever. First of all the driver who was transporting my 4 year old son never used turn signals cut across 3 lanes of traffic without signaling or giving a damn about who was in the ambulance. Then to top it off the ambulance driver took the longest route possible due to the fact they get paid off of mileage. Terrible experience and never again.Ill transport my own son next time from hospital to hospital at least I know where Im going and how to drive. I witnessed it all my wife was in the back of the ambulance and I was following in my truck. Bums I hope you guys go

My father is alive today because of Medstar. The Mt. Clemens firemen wanted to make him walk from his house to the sidewalk, and the Medstar guy and gal insisted that do their work up in the house, and then brought the gurney into the house to carry him out after they gave him and IV and medication (while the firemen stood around and giggled.) We found out that my Dad had 90% occlusion of two vessels in his heart, and the doctor said making him walk that far with chest pain would have probably killed him. Our family had Christmas with my Dad this year because of Medstar. There is no higher praise
