Vinita Mody is amazing and so is her staff. I hesitated going in due to stubborness, but my limping took a toll on my boyfriend. Needless to say, I went, I'm happy and I can run! I'll definitely continue to make appointments to help maintain my active lifestyle. I'm actually looking forward to going back for more - limping is not as cool as it sounds, would way rather strut. This review is long overdue. Stroma Physical Therapy is most definitely the best physical therapy facility in all of New York, and maybe in the country. Vinita, the founder, is an extremely talented physical therapist who constantly uses her ingenuity to create ways to heal her patients. She also possesses a trait that is of the utmost importance for any health care provider: Compassion. Her supporting staff are all equally wonderful. Stroma is the best physical therapy practice I've ever been to. I've worked with two of the physical therapists (Vinita and Alejandra) who are exceptionally good. I've had several ailments over the years and in some cases was healed within one treatment. Pascale the exercise physiologist is outstanding and all the PT aids are great, monitoring you as you do the strengthening exercising to make sure your form is correct. The entire staff is professional and caring.

I have been the lucky recipient of phenomenal physical therapy at Stroma for over 5 years. From the moment I walked into the place I felt at home and always felt well taken care of. My various ailments range from knee to back to neck issues, and every time the care I received was exceptionally good. It is not just the treatment I received which made me want to come back, but also how the entire staff helped me in the process of getting better. I had to use the services of Stroma twice. The first time was for a partial meniscus tear in my knee. Vinita prescribed a course of treatment and in the course of 2 months, I was back on my bike and back to running around. The second time was for a sprain in my left bicep. Again in a short time, I was back fishing and pulling in the big ones without pain. The treatment incorporated all types of treatment-heat, cold, electrical stimulation, ultra sound, massage and Rolfing. Her staff is warm and caring. I know that if I have any future physical ailments, Stroma will be there to set me right again

I have been going to Stroma for physical therapy for various issues for over two years and they are caring, attentive and very knowledgeable. The whole team including Vinita, Alejandra, Melanie, and the aides and support staff are a pleasure to deal with. They really try to get to the root of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. They are especially good dealing with the tough cases involving chronic pain. I would highly recommend them. I have been to other physical therapists and this is a completely different experience where they treat you like family.

This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had with any doctor. This practice claims to care about their patients and give attentive service but unfortunately this is NOT my experience.
I booked an appointment on ZocDoc for a same day service, someone from the Stroma office called to confirm my insurance information and tell me that they do not take my insurance (or any insurance for that matter, despite their ZocDoc page registering all insurance as in-network but that's a different issue). I told the woman I would need to think about it and she told me to cancel on ZocDoc if I didn't

This has been the best physical therapy experience by far that I ever had. I sustained an overuse knee injury over a decade ago. I had been to two separate therapists, one who was the top knee person at hosptial for special surgery. The physical therapy did not help at all. Surgery did not help either.
Vinita at Stroma was able to properly diagnose my problem, treat me over several months, and make sure I was up and running again.
After a few weeks of doing more exercise than I was able to do in years, I sustained a new injury to my opposite leg. Once again, Vinita diagnosed the problem and

Stroma's physical therapists and staff are as good as they come. I've always been an active person, and have had my share of injuries, surgeries, and PT experiences. Alejandra, Vinita and Melanie each rock! The approach taken here is diagnostic and thoughtful. Therapists take time to understand the overall situation and often identify related issues that may seem tangential to the lay-person/ patient but help treat the identified issue. The Stroma team of PT aides & trainers benefit patients and everyone there is very open to questions & ideas. And the vibe fostered here

I have had physical therapy at other places in NYC. I was recovering from a knee injury. Kind of down because I hate being injured. Stroma treats your injury with respect and makes you feel calm while you are healing. It is a calm and peaceful environment. It feels like being wrapped in chocolate! I love getting my physical therapy there!

Friendly and family oriented with the main goal to heal the patient and make sure you walk out with less pain to pain free and with more mobility and flexibility than when you first came in. With Vinita's ICT & healing technique, Pascale's Reiki, Adrianne's Accupuncture, and Aaron and Mairead massage therapy you are treated and healed both physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

In my life I've worked with a number of physical therapists and Vinita and the Team at Stroma stand miles above everyone else. The first time I met Vinita I had woken up with a frozen lower back and hobbled into Stroma using a cane. Vinita methodically evaluated not only my lower back but my movement patterns. Her commanding expertise and years of experience as a physical therapist were immediately apparent. Vinita's hands on work on my lower back and legs gave me immediate relief. I've used multiple PT places in the city over the years, most of which are pretty to very good. But hands down Stroma is by far the best. They treat not just the symptons but the root cause of the pain. I can't say enough good things about Vinita and her team of caring professionals. If money talks....I would pay their fees even if my insurance didn't cover it...luckily they do!
