From a humble beginning over 65 years ago, the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home's Old Forge location opened to serve its neighboring families in their most difficult times. From its humble inception serving several families each year, the business continued to grow through Thomas' and his son Kevin K. Kearney's tireless work ethic and active involvement in the community.
As many neighborhood funeral homes closed their doors, the father and son team began to serve a greater range of ethnicities and religions, eventually becoming the most trusted choice in funeral homes. Eventually the firm expanded to Scranton with the purchase of the Durkan-Cuff-Kearney Funeral Home over 40 years ago.
