The Law Office Of Kevin R. Hancock
At The Law Office of Kevin R. Hancock LLC, our goal your peace of mind. Through education and excellent client service, we serve clients throughout the Front Range, including the Colorado Springs area, Monument, Denver and Pueblo. Our practice is focused on providing Estate Planning and Probate needs, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Probate and Trust Administration.

Trusts are useful for avoiding probate and setting up a plan for protection and management of assets. Powers of attorney are the incapacity planning documents, which we always incorporate as part of the overall Estate Plan. When a loved one passes owning property like real estate, valuable personal property, or bank accounts with no named beneficiaries, probate through the Court is necessary to manage and transfer those assets to their family.

About Us
Report
Kevin founded The Law Office of Kevin R. Hancock, LLC, on a simple premise: Peace of mind through education and excellent client service. Without proper understanding, any well-planned and well-intended plan can go awry, and that holds especially true when it comes to estate planning, probate and estate administration.
Estate Planning
Report
Estate planning is not simply writing or creating a will, which is simply a directive as to who gets your probate property when you die. Estate planning is about planning for both the event of death and the event of incapacity, and in doing so, our goal is your peace of mind knowing you, your family and your assets will be taken care of and smoothly managed and transitioned, in either event, whether expected or not.
Estate Planning Process
Report
From there, we explain the background and purpose of estate planning in more detail, explore options for your individualized estate plan, and counsel you on the best choices for you and your family. The drafting stage is where we put your wishes and choices to paper.

After we have met with you and counsel you on your estate planning options and choices, we take all of that information and draft your documents accordingly, including wills and/or trusts, financial and medical powers of attorney and living wills. We then send you a draft of your estate plan documents for review prior to signing.
Estate Planning FAQs
Report
Estate planning is the process of planning for two events: Death and Incapacity. Planning for the event of incapacity involves determining who will make decisions for you in the event that you cannot make decisions for yourself due to illness or injury and results in building durable financial and medical powers of attorney and living wills.
Trusts
Report
At The Law Office of Kevin R. Hancock, LLC, we provide education as well as trustworthy legal guidance when it comes to matters relating to trust, probate case, and estate administration. A trust is considered the Swiss Army knife for estate planning. It is created if you give your property to another person to manage and hold on behalf of your beneficiary.
