Jane graduated from Hawkeye Community College in 1992, and has been a part of our team since 2008. In addition to being a registered dental hygienist, Jane is also certified in local anesthesia, and is a member of the local chapter of the American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA). Jane loves working with great coworkers and having the opportunity to further dental knowledge.

Today, we use digital radiography instead of photography-based imaging, which emits up to 90% less radiation and produces significantly clearer images in nearly an instant. An intraoral camera is a small, digital camera at the end of a small wand.

When your teeth are as healthy as they can be, your dentist will still recommend regular dental exam and cleaning visits at least once every six months. If your teeth aren't in superb health, then your visits may need to occur more often. During each appointment, Dr. Hansen will thoroughly inspect your teeth, gums, bite, and oral tissues to detect any issues that may be present.

Teaching children to care for their teeth properly is one of the most important things we can do for their long-term dental health. It's equally important to help them develop the habit of visiting their dentist on a regular basis. We recommend brining children for their first visit around the age of two, and starting a routine of regular exams and cleanings by the age of three.
