We utilize digital dental radiology to identify hidden issues and offer surgical interventions for complex cases. Regular dental maintenance helps prevent systemic health problems that can arise from untreated oral infections.

We perform various surgical procedures including spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries using modern techniques and equipment. Our surgical team prioritizes patient safety with pre-operative assessments and post-operative care plans. We maintain strict sterile protocols and provide pain management strategies for optimal recovery.
Diagnostic Procedures
Our on-site laboratory and imaging capabilities enable rapid diagnosis of illnesses and injuries. We utilize digital radiology, ultrasound technology, and specialized testing to identify health issues accurately. This equipment allows us to develop effective treatment plans based on precise medical information.
End of Life Care
We provide compassionate end-of-life care that focuses on maintaining quality of life for pets with terminal conditions. Our team offers guidance through euthanasia decisions and supports owners during this difficult transition. We ensure peaceful passing through humane methods and provide grief counseling resources.

Our behavior specialists address issues like aggression, anxiety, and compulsive disorders through comprehensive evaluations. We develop customized modification plans combining environmental adjustments and potential medication. Our approach focuses on understanding root causes rather than addressing symptoms alone.

Dr. Basham is so very kind and incredibly professional. I have been dealing with an aggressive behavioral situation with one of my 4 dogs for a few years and this past weekend was the worst situation yet. Dr. Basham was so tender with me, understanding the idea of surrendering him was heart breaking for me, she took the time to professionally explain AGAIN "I cap because she's done it so many times already", why it's the best solution for not only the aggressive one but the other 3 who reside in the stress. Additionally she reassured me that we did all we could as owners and

I've been to most of the vets in the clackamas area I'd highly recommend this one over others. They're currently only seeing new patients in between their regular appointments and even then the vet really took the time to go over everything with me and make sure all our issues were addressed and taken care of. They even sent us home with this new puppy kit that had a lot of really great info and a sample of the flea and heartworm medicine they recommend.

Reliable, professional yet also personal and sensitive to your and your pet's needs. We were referred to Pioneer by a friend and are SO happy they did! A very wide area of expertise and knowledge, yet they aren't afraid to admit when they don't have an answer and need to do some further invetstigation. They will listen to your questions and also your suggestions without making you feel foolish about it. The very best!

So I had appointments in May for my 2 dogs- annual exams, shots, etc. The yearly full check-up and vaccinations. Then in June, days before going out of town and boarding them, I try to get a refill of heart worm and also flea/ tick meds. They respond that the dogs are overdue for their heart worm tests, and they won't refill the meds until the tests happen. I wonder why they didn't do them when we were there in May, or notify me or anything. Then I ask for just the flea and tick meds immediately, so they could be boarded, and said I'd do the heart worm test and get those meds in
