We first opened our doors in 2015 and we are very proud to be praised by our families and members of the community as a great environment for learning. At KLA School of West Kendall we are proud to offer the School Readiness and the VPK program from the ELC. We are honored to provide access to our programs to ALL children.
Stones, trees and plants create the ultimate outdoor experience along with multiple opportunities for exploration. Climbing structures, slides, push-cars, and houses for pretend play are all part of the outdoor spaces offered to children. Music and art experiences are weekly courses included in the tuition to offer children opportunities to expand upon their interests during their daily experiences.

We first opened our doors in 2015 and we are very proud to be praised by our families and members of the community as a great environment for learning. Candy Ortega, her husband, Roberto and a group of investors and educators founded KLA Schools in 2008. They opened the first KLA School in Miami, FL, in 2008 and began franchising in 2010.
Inside Our School

KLA Schools are safe and secure by design. We work diligently to maintain the cleanliness of our facility as well as the safety of our furnishings and overall health of our children and their environment. Parents log their children in at the reception area, where no outsiders are allowed. All doors leading outside of the KLA Schools grounds are kept locked and only able to be opened through sophisticated technology.

Our educators know the importance of creating a trust filled relationship with our infants. As our educators soothe and nurture children they support them in building a sense of confidence by responding quickly and appropriately to their natural cues. Our educators comfort your baby while holding, talking, singing in a quiet reassuring voice, and by making eye contact with them.
Educational Approach

We investigated many great philosophers and were most influenced by Jean Piaget's Constructivist Theory and Lev Vygotsky's Socio-Constructivist Theory, as well as the works of John Dewey on the importance of bringing students' past experiences into the classroom. The works of Jerome Bruner and Paulo Freire also amazed us.
ELC Programs

School Readiness programs have been designed to prepare children for school, particularly those from income- eligible families. The mission of KLA Schools is to provide a safe, innovative environment and high quality education for the students of our communities inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach to education.
